Department of Physics is established in the year 1934 with combination of Mathematics and Chemistry. In the year 1994 with combination of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science was sanctioned. The medium of instruction for the two courses is English. The college is affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University. The built-up area of the department is 2000 Sq. mts.

The department is conducting assignments, student seminars, quiz programs and internal examinations to assess the progress of the students. The Department is conducting remedial coaching and for the slow learners.

The department encourages as well as guides the students to build up their career.
